Update on my PGX Review

Well, it has been quite awhile since I started taking PGX.  As I mentioned previously, it has been on again, off again.  So not sure if I can fault or attribute everything to taking PGX Daily.  I have lost about 10 pounds.  I am still about 10 pounds away from my ideal weight.  Perhaps a real hardcore attitude is needed for PGX Daily to work.

Honestly, I am not sure it is in me.

I need to tie a string on my finger

You would think that for a person writing a blog on PgX it should be simple to remember to take my pills. You would think!

I made the mistake of taking my whole bottle of PGX daily to work with me. Of course when it came time to leave & being Friday, I happily skipped out of the office sans PGX.

I guess I should have two bottles or split the one I have. Oh well hope this weekend goes okay without.

How PGX Daily Ultra Matrix Works

According to Natural Factors Nutritional Products handout this is how PGX works.

Finding the Time vs. Making the Time

Do you find it hard to have time to exercise?  I am constantly trying to find time to exercise rather than making time to exercise.  Of course it would be better if I could make time to exercise but with three kids under 7 years old and a full time job it is not going to come easy.

I am not saying this is enough but these are some of the ways I have been finding time for exercise.
  • While waiting for my oil change I walked over to the community center for a swim.
  • Playing follow the leader with my kids.  Trying to do everything those kids do for 15 minutes has me sweating.  I make sure I do everything they do even if it means crawling on the floor!
  • Riding a spin bike while watching TV.
  • My sons have the same piano teacher so when one is having their lesson I walk with the other to a play ground or around the block.  When the first lesson is done I walk again with my other child.  I get 1 hour of exercise instead of sitting in the car.
  • Taking the stairs.
  • Doing yard work or house work.

PGX Daily minus 8 lbs.

A little update with a little news to report. I am feeling good great with help from the PGX Daily I bought from natvd.com I have lost 8 lbs.

I have been incorporating PGX Daily along with exercise in my routines. I have started swimming laps while my kids are doing their swimming lessons which I am starting to really enjoy. I was not crazy about getting into swimsuit. In the end I pretty much realized no one is really looking at me anyways so I got over it.

What's App Group -

To push us along a few friends of mine have started our own What's App (chat conversation) group. The purpose is to inspire and encourage each other.

Every time one of us does something positive like exercise or eat right that person will share it with the group.

The result has be good so far as each time I know someone else is working out it gets me off my butt. It is also a place where we can brag a little about the things we're doing.

In a way it offers the positive encouragement of a workout buddy without having to go to the gym together.

Kathy Smith on board with PGX?

I just received a new bottle of PGX and noticed a box insert with Kathy Smith's picture on it. She is apparently a world famous fitness expert who says, " PGX Daily is just as important as exercise."

On the insert it says how to take PGX Daily.

Day 1-2
Take 1 PGX Daily softgel with each meal

Day 3-4
Take 2 PGX Daily softgels with each meal

Day 5-6
Take 3 PGX Daily softgels with each meal

Day 7 and beyond
Take 4-6 PGX Daily softgels with each meal

I would appear that I have not been doing it right. I never got past 2 softgels per meal.

I will give this new recommended dosages a try.

Gym or not to gym?

I have thinking about joining a gym for a while now. In order to lose at least ten pounds I figure it may faster to increase my activity level in addition to taking PGX Daily.

I went by GoodLife Fitness to see what it was like. The facility was very nice with pretty much more than I could ever use. They had free weights, bikes, trainers and big screen tv's everywhere. Unfortunately all this luxury comes with a price. At about $54 + taxes a month for 2 years it would be an over $1400 commitment.

I also went to a Steve Nash Fitness world. The location I went to was small and old but the monthly fee was only $29 + taxes a month. Reasonably priced but I felt that the manager was too pushy with trying to get me a trainer etc.

I also went by a local community centre. The have annual or monthly passes available. The annual pass is $360 but would also give me access to their other facilities such as swimming pools and skating rinks. Pretty much leaning towards the community centre route. It may not be as glamorous as a fitness club but the goal is the same. Get started on getting fit.

Dance Central 2

If you are like me looking for fun activities that keep me entertained is a challenge. Since the kids got an Xbox 360 with a kinect sensor I decided to pick up a game called Dance Central 2.

The premise of the game is you try to copy the dance moves to various songs while the sensor detects how well you do. It's fun and you get a great workout.

I have a greater appreciation for performers and singers.

Even though PGX Daily says we don not have to do anything to change our lives why not add a little fun while burning calories.

Today's activity... Skiing!

I would like to think that obtaining a healthy body is not all about eating pills. Even if PGX can change your life.

So today I went skiing for the first time in 9 years. It was a great to be outside and in the fresh air.

I know my legs are going to be sore but it a good thing.

Timmy Ho you tempt me so

I had to run out to the bank and next door is Tim Horton's. I am tempted to pick up a new size large double double . Of course I would normally throw in a sour cream glazed donut for good measure. Not today because I am making a change. Better get in my car and get out of here.

Going back to the office to my bottle of PGX & a large glass of water. Haha.

White Tuna Sandwich

For today's lunch we're having a white tuna sandwich with a mini blueberry muffin.

As you can see I am one of those people who eat at my desk. That's bad right?

Wake Up Call

So a friend of mine recently had a heart attack. He is only 37 years old. He is a professional and has a young family just like me. Just like me he has a tough time trying to juggle work, family, friendships and exercise. For me this is a wake up call.

I not been taking PGX Daily regularly & I have not been exercising regularly. But my attitude has got to change. So here we go again... today I am 190 lbs. and not as fit as I could be.

I have started taking PGX Daily again twice a day. I am also taking a multivitamin, Holistic Way Omega-3 Fish oil (Meg-3) and a B complex. I do have "greens" drinks that I take when I feel like I am missing veggies.

I am considering putting a photo up of current physical state but I am bit too embarrassed. I'll take the photo and then decide.
