PGX Daily Singles

I received a free sample of PGX Daily Singles and mixed it in with yogurt for a snack. I think it would be also good with cereal or salads but I do not see it being good in soups as mentioned in some of the literature. There is a bit of a taste but nothing terrible.

I would consider ordering some PGX Daily Single packets except I have been doing good with the softgels which I find more convenient. I believe I would be more likely to try their PGX Daily Pre-Meal Protein. I can see myself using this more.

Still at it

Hello all,

It's been a while. The summer season has zipped past us. It was quite the summer. I managed to get to the beach a few times and the only thing I was embarrassed about was my tan lines. My weight has been steady and my health has been good; knock on wood.

Still taking PGX along with my other supplements. I have noticed several new PGX products on the market but honestly I have not tried them all.

I have tried baking a "healthy" cookie with PGX, Chia seeds, Raisins, Flax seed to have for snacks at the office. It was not too bad but a little crumbly. Once I perfect the recipe I will post it.

All the best.

No News is Good News

If you have been wondering where the updates have been, I am sorry. The truth is no news is good news. I have incorporated PGX Daily into my routine. After years of absence I am playing sports regularly again. I have been going for bike rides and walks. I can participate actively with my child's activities.

I have not time to do any crazy boot camps or diets. Do you?

Dawn Chubai Transformation Project

So I have been following a local TV personality who has been doing a transformation project sponsored by PGX Daily. She is about half way through her journey and I was interested to learn she has loss only 6-8 pounds. I saw her at an event two weeks ago and she looked good to me.

This is along the lines of what I have experienced after more than a year of PGX Daily. I haven't experienced a huge drop in weight and I was a bit disappointed. I looking foward to seeing her at the end. I hope her dedication will pay off and inspire me.

What to do with "The Vice Busting Diet" Book

Okay, okay, so I have been ordering PGX Daily obviously. Lately, each bottle I have comes with a book. Julia Havey's - The Vice Busting Diet. I have given them away to friends and now I am not certain what to do with the rest.

I searched the internet and tried to come up with some ideas on what to do with these books:
  1. Use them as weights for workouts.
  2. Cut out the middle to hold my iPhone
  3. Make a floating bookshelf? - I think this idea might work better with a hardcover
  4. Turn it into a lamp
  5. Turn it into a clock
Any other ideas?

Progress

By the way, I have lost some weight over the last couple weeks. I am still about 11 pounds over what I want to be but I'll be working on it.

Meal Replacement Powerful Side Effect

I have been using a PGX meal replacement called No NonSense. I only use it on occasion and not daily. I have noticed that the day I take a shake I have some... let's politely say loose movements. Reading the instructions I did note that initially my body may experience this side effect but I would have expected that I would grow accustomed to it. However, since I do not take a PGX Meal replacement everyday perhaps it is what I should expect.

I suppose I have two choice: a) scrap the No Nonsense Meal Replacements b) use it more often so my body is more used to it.

Run run run as fast as you can...

Run run run as fast as you can...no I am not the gingerbread man nor is it for exercise. While drinking the prescribed amount of water today I have had to go to the bathroom a LOT.

PGX Daily - Will Change My Life - Even If I don't

The clever slogan of PGX Daily softgels is "Will Change Your Life - even if you don't". Is in the realm of Red Bull's slogan "It gives you wings!!!" It is true but not really in the manner you would like to think it is.

For PGX Daily is it has changed my life.

1) PGX Daily has cost me $25.50 minus a coupon ;) . I could have bought a Lotto Max ticket and won $50 Million. I could have bought myself and 4 friends Caffe Lattes or a bucket of KFC Chicken. Instead I chose to buy PGX Daily softgels and I am not super rich, more popular with 4 friends but I may have indirectly prevented some weight gain.

2) The mere fact that I am taking PGX Daily has forced me to think about my health on a daily basis. But it this the bottle of pills or is this me?

3) It has challenged me to be more active and find better foods to eat.

4) It has raised my level of attention to making health lifestyle choices.

5) It makes me fell full or less hungry. Although I still have to change the way I approach portions at mealtime.

In my opinion the slogan is clever because it can be true, PGX Daily can change your life even if you don't, to the tune of $25 bucks or whatever you spend. However to believe that PGX alone can change your life with regards to your weight, BMI, or other health conditions without doing any exercise, improving your nutrition or quitting unhealthy habits is naive.

PGX Daily Side Effects

According to the label on the bottle of PGX Daily

Notice: You may experience a temporary change in your bowel movements as your body adjusts to the addition of PGX. I would say that this is a very polite way to say it can get a little messy downstairs.

I did not experience this as much when I used PGX Daily compared to a PGX drink or Meal replacement. To date I have not experienced any other negative side effects.

PGX Not-so-Daily

To be honest I still haven't been keeping up with my PGX Daily so much but I have been taking PGX in the No Nonsense Vanilla Drink form. I will get my PGX Daily today from Natvd.com

I think for me the biggest challenge is changing the way I think about eating. Whenever I am not busy it's munch time. I have been able to reduce the portion sizes at home. But I feel like at a restaurant it is very hard to reduce the portion size.

Exercise any where

This past weekend I spent the weekend with my family including my parents and my brother and his family too. We headed to the resort town of Whistler for some family time.

The great thing about a getaway in Whistler is it is easy to have fun and exercise at the same time. Although I did not hit the slopes skiing or riding, I still got to experience the great wintery outdoors. We walked as group to the local park pulling sleds, throwing snow balls and laughing until our sides hurt. We dug tunnels in the snow and ran around the townhouse playing hide & seek.

I even did stretching exercises with my mother before bed in the living room which gave everyone a laugh.

On again, off again

It's been on again off again this year. Since November 2010 I would say I have been off. My gym bag sat in my trunk the entire time with workout clothes and runners. The intention has been to run during a lunch break or something like that.

Excuse #1 I can blame it on an extremely busy holiday season along with a home purchase/move that left exercise and my healthier lifestyle on the back burner.

Excuse #2 my supply of PGX Daily softgels ran out. I know. It's not the first time. I really have no excuse since there are even sponsors on this blog who sell PGX! (They are not liking me right now.) I should implement some sort of automatic re-order or something.

Excuse #3 I am lazy? I have been so tired after waking up at 5:30 or 6 am with my kids.

Excuse #4 Christmas chocolates and baking.

So no more excuses, it is so on again. I weighed myself and I am at 192lbs. Yikes. Yesterday is was a 20 minute afternoon jog. Today it will be another jog with some stretching tonight.
